The final system developed within the SmartSolar project consists of a set of sensors for measuring the temperature of the tank water and the water flow, the panel device, and the water heater device. The installation process of the sensors, the Panel Device and the Water Heater Device was carried out in two industrial plants manufacturing solar water heating systems. The two selected industrial units, SAMMLER and CosmoSolar, are located in the area of Thebes. Through the installation of the system in more than one industrial unit it was possible to control the system in different solar water heaters. This helped to collect additional data on the installation and usage process of the devices, while also giving the professionals in the field the opportunity to get in touch with the final product and become familiar with its use and installation process. Finally, it contributed to the optimal adaptation of the system and its parts for use in thermosyphon systems of different sizes and types. Through operating the devices in real-life conditions and performing appropriate field tests during operation, failures not detected during laboratory tests were identified. Data and user observations during system operation contributed to the improvement of the system.
